I found out about the Trimble scholarship program from a university colleague. I was nervous at first, but in the end, I mustered up the courage to try and apply, and it turned out to be a very inspired decision.

3D modelling was not new for me, since I got my bachelor’s degree in industrial design, where I had to do lots of projects requiring such skills. However, the academical environment will never match the working field. That’s why I’m so grateful for applying to the Trimble scholarship program. It gave me the chance to learn how 3D modelling can make a change in real life, not just be useful for getting a good grade.

Learning the necessary tools was challenging enough to motivate me to continue and improve my skills every day, but not so difficult that it makes you want to get up, leave and never come back. Quite the opposite, I met many wonderful people who quickly made me want to stay and be a part of the team, through their dedication, high spirits and willingness to be there, whenever things got too complicated for a newcomer’s mind. Anyone who is used to being yelled at or belittled by the teachers for the smallest things in school will feel a huge relief when they see how friendly, calm and understanding the Trimble mentors are. I am thankful for how they taught me not only to build my set of assets that I now use every day, but also that learning can be a fun, motivating experience.

Another aspect worth mentioning is the flexible part-time schedule, which allowed me to both work and get my master’s degree. It’s truly a blessing to be able to arrange your working hours in the way that suits you best, without constraints.

As a conclusion, I recommend the Trimble scholarship program to anyone who wants to develop and improve their 3D design skills and turn them into a career that not only puts bread on their table, but also contributes to building a better future for everyone.
